EXODUS

Exodus 20:2, 3: I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

 This seminar is a continuation of the book of Genesis. It explains the reasons why Israel went into Egypt in the first place and discusses the factors involved in how they left. Their exodus from Egypt takes them through the Red Sea to Mt. Sinai for the giving of the Law and then to the fringes of the Promised Land. The locations and reasons for doing so are scrutinized.

The seminar is presented in four sessions, each approximately 3 hours in length including breaks. 

Session one:
1. Introduction: Why was Israel in Egypt and in Bondage 
2. Moses: From Pharaoh’s Palace to Midian and Back Again

Session two:
1. The Fight: The True God Versus the Egyptian gods 
2. The Great Escape: God Rescues His People

 Session three:
1. Mount Sinai: Location and Events
2. The Law: It’s Statues and Judgments

Session four:
1. The Ark of The Covenant
2. Arrival at The Promised Land

 Handouts, maps, video tape, computer slides are utilized throughout.
