Before We Get Gathered
Number 102: April 13, 2007
At around 10:00 am the believers started to arrive. Many traveled from 4 to 6 hours to get there. The starting time was10:30 but many kept arriving throughout the fellowship. The women sit upfront, shoeless. The men sit in the back or on the side. All of the fellowships were almost 4 hours in length. A typical fellowship consists of singing, testimonials, Bible teachings, manifestations and abundant sharing. Healing was made available after the fellowship concluded with many taking advantage of it.
During the singing an Indian woman got possessed and started flinging her body around on the ground. No one panicked and it did not stop the fellowship. Some of the local leadership took her into the house where they delivered her by casting out the spirit. They, including the woman in her right mind, rejoined the fellowship in time to hear believers speak about the greatness of God in their daily lives.
One man shared that he had fallen from a great distance and hit his head so hard that he was near death. A family member immediately ministered to him and he is totally fine. Another, a farmer, was having trouble with wild elephants and monkeys destroying his fields. Shortly after coming to the fellowships he asked God to rid him of this problem. He has never had any trouble since his prayer, even when he accidentally left a gate open. God answers prayer. Their simple believing and trust in God is getting results.
Matthew 21:22:
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Many of the ladies professed how thankful to God they are because of the peace that is now manifested in their lives. They trust what they hear from the Word of God, have applied it in their lives, and are reaping the benefit; a benefit they did not get from their former religion or deities.
Psalm 34:8, 10:
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
The young lions so lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
Since many cannot read, they listen intently to what is taught from the Bible so they can apply it. The practical application of the Word of God is stressed. Apply what you are learning as soon as you can. Many do and are seeing the results that God sent His Word to attain. Signs, miracles and wonders are common place.
One caring, loving believer, Shanti, could not read. She asked God to help her. Gulab Singh, the local leader, told her that he would give her a Bible when she was ready to learn to read. She asked God for help. When he gave her the Bible, she opened it and was able to read it immediately. Her bold stand and witness has won many for the Lord.
