Number 115:  July 2, 2007

We survived the invasion of the Indians! Actually it was a little different invasion than the old West. Sangat Bains from the country of India was visiting and teaching great truths concerning renewed vision. He had his family and two other wonderful believers from India with him. The central theme verses instructed us to pray to God to supply laborers for His harvest, for His work concerning salvation and knowledge of the truth.

I Timothy 2:4:

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Matthew 9:35-38:

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Up until this time, only Jesus was laboring. God answers Jesus’ prayer for more laborers immediately by having him commission the 12 to go forth into the harvest to help.

Matthew 10:1,7,8:

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power [authority] against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Many times we forget that we work in conjunction with the Lord. It is His will that all hear. We are follow laborers with Jesus Christ. We do what the Lord God wants us to do.

II Corinthians 6:1a:

We then, as workers together with him…

We need to beseech God to send forth more workers into the world. We are to pray, to desire more laborers. We are to be ready then with the ministry of reconciliation to get them saved, and to teach them the greatness of God’s Word so they too can enter into the harvest to do the will of God. God will bring hungry souls across our paths, our job is to do what God wants us to do, desire of Him laborers, and then speak the truth.
