Before We Get Gathered
Number 39: March 11, 2006
Science and the Bible can co-exist. Many people think it has to be one or the
other. One cannot totally disregard scientific fact. Scientific theories though,
are usually man attempting to explain what he cannot prove. He utilizes his best
guesses to explain why something is the way it is.
Blind chance is not the author of creation, nor is evolution. All of creation
has the Designer’s master hand imprinted throughout it. His entire creation was
governed by fixed laws with an intelligence and a unique purpose pervading it.
Psalm 90:2:
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and
the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
All creation is a revelation of the heart hunger of a great Father and His
master plan for mankind’s beautiful home. No one has ever dreamed or believed
more fervently of a home than did the Father God for His children.
God’s whole point, God’s whole reason for forming, making, and creating the
original man was that He desired fellowship. Man is not just a part of the
universe; he is the purpose of it. God took whatever time He needed to build an
earth home for His family with such treasures as only He, the Father God, could
conceive and execute.
Psalm 19:1:
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
By utilizing only pure scientific means, science has no accurate or adequate
reason for creation, but God does – you!
True sciences fit with the Bible. If a scientist started with the Bible, they
would see that many universal scientific truths are included within the pages of
the Scriptures. For example, evolution.
Genesis 1:11 and 21:
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the
fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the
earth: and it was so.
And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the
waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after
his kind: and God saw that it was good.
This law of everything after its kind means that God designed plants and animals
to reproduce after their kind only. When you plant carrot seeds, carrots are
grown. There can be much change or evolution within a specie, but not between
genera. Different species of animals, like a dog and a cat, cannot reproduce as
a new specie of dog-cat or cat-dog. However, there is much variety within the
canine genus with different size, color, shape, and breed of dogs manifested.
