Number 90:  January 18, 2007

Cold. It is cold outside. No, it is extremely cold outside. On the Fahrenheit scale of temperatures, it is well below 0. In Celsius degrees, it is abysmally low. With the amount of snow and cold weather we have been having over the last 5 weeks, I guess global warming doesn’t exist in Colorado. Maybe it only works on the east coast where all the hot air is? It doesn’t seem to be a problem in California either since it is snowing in Malibu. In Newsweek Magazine’s April 28, 1975 edition, there is an alarming cry that scientist will do nothing in time to halt the effects of GLOBAL COOLING! I’ll take global warming over global cooling any day of the week!

Cold. I have a cold. Actually, I am about over my cold. It was brought on by the cold weather. It gave me the excuse to take Monday off to read the book “Marley and Me” about the world’s worst dog. Having had the world’s best dog for years, after reading the book, I was thankful to my wife for listening to God by picking a breed of dog that did not have any Labrador retriever of any kind in it.

As this cold and snowy winter continues in Colorado the cry of global warming is repeated all over the networks. This phrase, which has no scientific backing at all, will become the catch phrase that will be utilized to discredit God’s ability to provide for humanity. It has all the ear markings of becoming the next “evolution” controversy.

“Evolution” is a concept that science students had to accept if they were to progress into the “scientific world” to get a job. The fact that it is just a theory and there is no scientific evidence for it does not matter. You are against what the scientific community is trying to do [get rid of a supreme being, a creator, making man the highest realm of being on earth] if you are not for it. According to the Bible, there may be evolution amongst species, but not between genera. This we see every day as we look at the different types of dogs that populate the world.

Genesis 1:11 and 21:

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth...

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

The “discussion” over global warming has already gotten “heated.” Heidi Cullen, a leading climatologist for the greatest authority on the planet, the Weather Channel, demanded that anyone who dares question in public the notion that global warming is a manmade problem should be stripped of their professional certification. She insists this despite the fact that a similar “expert” said that he knows of no one in the industry that believes in global warming; except for maybe Heidi now. The major problem to all of this is the weather itself; it is as usual unpredictable like the forecasters have known.
