Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth. II Timothy 2:15

Golden Opportunities
by Jack Northart

A very popular belief in our day and time is that there is a limited amount of everything, therefore everyone needs to struggle, strive and strain, and we must fight desperately and selfishly for what there is, and only the ones with the most staying power will get it.

No one is kept poor because other's have monopolized the world's wealth and resources. There may be windows of opportunity that open and close at times. However, at different times the tide of opportunity will move in different directions.

Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

When God created the Heavens and the Earth, he established certain laws that govern the universe. These laws are unalterable and have been in motion since the beginning. For instance, the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. It is an established reality and one that can be counted with certainty.

Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Another great law the was established in the beginning is the Law of Vibration, or the Law of Attraction. It is called by other names as well, but simply stated, it means that everything vibrates or moves; nothing sits idle. Everything is in a constant state of motion, and therefore, there is no such thing as a state of rest. Each thing in the universe gives off a certain vibration, or frequency. Objects that give off the same frequency are attracted to each other. For instance, take a tuning fork. If we were to set up 7 different tuning forks on the edge of a table, and then strike a separate tuning fork and hold it over each of the 7, the one that is of the same musical note would begin to vibrate and resonate as we hold it over it.

How does this law of vibration work for us in our lives?

Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them
.

This is an immutable law of the universe that God is introducing to His people. It's simple, it's direct and it is effective. What is stopping people from getting this wonderful law to work for them? The key word in this verse is the word, "believe." You, by your free will, choose to believe that what you pray for will come to pass. Believing is what sets the positive vibrations of what we pray for into motion. We "stay on target" as we keep the picture of our prayers coming to pass in our mind.

Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

The "heart" that this verse is referring to, is the innermost part of your mind. This is the part of the mind where believing emanates from. This verse is encouraging us to keep or guard that part of our mind with all diligence, for it is where the wellspring of life comes from. If we fail to be diligent in this matter, then the things that are contrary to the more abundant life that God has made available for us will supercede and dominate us.

When we accepted Christ into our lives, The spirit of God is born within us at that very moment. From then on, we are God's children, we are in the family of God and joint-heirs with Christ. However, we may limit God in our lives by not knowing or believing what is legally ours as sons of God through Christ. When we begin to see what Jesus Christ accomplished for us as the complete substitute for sin, and all that our Heavenly Father has given to us, we will no longer talk about worry, fear, anxiety, sickness and want. We will refuse to limit the power of God in our lives. We stop wondering if God is always mad at us, and whether we are "worthy" to have our prayers answered. We will not be consumed with thoughts of lack and limitation, because God is our source of supply and abundance.

Ephesians 3:20-21
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The power that works in us is operated by our free will believing. It is ours to have, but we must choose to utilize that power. We decide if we want to pray. We decide if we want to believe as we pray.. Whichever we choose will determine the outcome, for God has established this great and wonderful law for our benefit.

God is our source of unlimited supply and support. He is ready, willing and able to pour out the blessings. It is only when we choose to believe to the contrary that His hands are tied to perform.

Jeremiah 2:13
For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

God refers to Himself here as a fountain, which has a limitless source of supply. On the other hand, He says that His people have hewed out  broken cisterns that cannot hold water. They formed their own cisterns; these ideologies of their own choosing.  These cisterns would not work effectively for them. God was calling them back to Him, the fountain of living waters.

When we truly believe that God's Word is true, and that His promises and the immutable laws that He has set up for us will work for us every single time, our lives will flow and be full of golden opportunities.
