God’s Answer to Fear

Exodus 20:1-6 One true God. In verse 5 God tells us two things not to do toward any false God: (1) do not bow to them and (2) do not serve them.

The first commandment pertains to true worship. By not bowing to other gods, we show them no respect. We do not pay homage to the things of this world that want to be treated as equal to the true God.

By not serving other gods, we show where are allegiances truly are. We show who or what should get most of our quality time, personal attention, and rightful share of our money. It is said in the Gospels that you cannot serve two masters.

Matthew 6:24-34 Service to God is what we signed up for when we confessed Romans 10:9 making Jesus our lord.

Ephesians 6:10-12 There are many wiles, tricks, methods, snares, schemes, that the adversary presents as true. The first being more than one God, having a need to serve more than the one God, which leads to worship of that other god.  For some reason you believe that the true God is not big enough, or not caring enough, to meet your need. So either you want to play god and meet your own need, or you try to find another god that will act the way you want him to act.

II Peter 1:3 We have everything needed for life and for having a godly relationship with our Father.

A God who supplies abundance to His children.

Ezekiel 28:1-19 “Prince” because the leader of Tyre is actually serving the king of Tyre, Satan.

God doesn’t like any spirit being or man to be Him.

Another method utilized by the wicked one is the false dissimulation of knowledge concerning the dead. Too many people believe that they are here to be used by a god who takes whatever he wants, whenever he wants it, without any free will attached. This is permissible because the person used ends up with a free pass directly to heaven.

Adam and Eve were given free will to love, worship, and serve the true God. We have free will today to do the same.

Another of the adversary’s methodology that he uses to hinder the purposes of the true God is fear. FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL

II Timothy 1:7 Fear is not from the true God. He has instead given us His power, His love, and the potential to manifest a sound mind.

Fear is used as a Satanic weapon to defeat the promises of God.

Let’s remind ourselves of our spiritual weaponry. These will help us conquer fear.

Ephesians 6:17,18 Our spiritual weapons, the Word of God and prayer, handle attacks by God’s enemy.

Hebrews 4:12 The Word of God is powerful! How many of you were captivated when you first heard the truth of God’s Word spoken forth in all of its brilliance.

Philippians 4;6,7 Without anxiety, it is easier to control fear in our minds.

Genesis 3:5 The lure for Adam and Eve was that they were to be like God. this lie has continued throughout history, everyone wants to be a god that way they do not have to serve anyone or anything. The individual can be worshipped for what he does.

Judges 5:8a Worship and service to the one true God kept Israel in peace.

He still is the solution to peace or war, serving one God. There are many nasty symptoms in our country, homos, thieves in government, bribed judges, gambling, propaganda departments…ad naseum…but the source is still having more than one God, not obeying and serving the true God.

Ezekiel 14:1-23 God respected the righteousness of the individual, even though the rest of their miserable comforters, or the whole nation of Israel or the entire world for that matter had turned from the true God.

For us, our righteousness is through the accomplished work of Christ. Today it is God in Christ in us, the hope of glory. We are righteous because he is in us.

II Chronicles 7:1-3, 12-15, 19-22 Solomon

II Chronicles 13:3-18 It appears that Abijah’s heart was right with God.

I Kings 15:1,3 Not so.

II Chronicles 14-16 Asa

God delivers His people, His children. He will keep them safe when they trust in Him.

Psalm 1:1-6 The believer will have his need met, even in times of lack. God takes care of His children.

Psalm 37:25, 34:4, 27:1 Trust God to the point of acting on what He promises in His Word.

Proverbs 29:25 Don’t learn to live in the devil’s snare. The fear of man brings a snare; thinking or guessing what man can do to you. Even his worse punch, death, has already been defeated by Jesus Christ.

This is that inward feeling of timidity. It is one of two great snares. The other is the praise of man.

John 12:42,43 The fear of man and the praise of man are both potential stumbling blocks to the movement of God’s Word.

Romans 2:29 Our praise is not of men, but of God.

The knowledge and wisdom of God will keep us safe.

Proverbs 3:1-10, 13,14, 21-26

Fear is the enemy of believing. It defeats the promises of God because where we have fear we will not act on God’s Word.

Matthew 14:25-32 Peter got fearful. He stopped acting on the promise…walk.

Luke 1:5-20 Look fool, believe me, I’m Gabriel! Angel had to dispel the fear first, to get Zacharis to act.

Luke 1:30 Fear not. Listen to what I have to say.

Acts 9:10-18 Ananais talked things over with God before he went to minister to Paul. He had to get rid of the fear which came with the assignment.

Do whatever you have to, to get over your unbelief, your fear, so you can answer the calling of God. So you can do the work of your Lord and Master.

Fear stops you from receiving the promises of God because when you have fear, you won’t take believing action on what you know.

I John 4:18, 15-19, 2:5 Love God by keeping His Word.

Mark 5:35,36,41,42 have no fear, only believe.

Acts 18:9-10 Be not afraid just speak. God is with us too. We are fellow-laborers with Him.

The world is going to march out the Goliaths against you all your life, but God is always with you.

Romans 8:31-39 Nothing can separate us.

John 20:19. Let’s leave fear inside and move out on the greatness of believing God and His Word boldly proclaiming His Son, the one who God raised from the dead, our lord, and believe the tremendous promises God has made available.

I Thessalonians 2:13 God’s Word works. Believe it! Find the needed promise in His Word, and believe it to the point of acting on it, and get the results God sent His Word to achieve.

Isaiah 55:11
